1910 Ikhwan Nahat for Sale
I have decided to sell my 1910 Ikhwan (Arabic for "Brothers") Nahat oud. I bought the oud from Keith(Meursault in the forum)which bought it from Nazih
Ghadban. According to Nazih it is all original-I must mention that there r few Oud players in Israel that r not sure the soundboard is original but
Richard Hankey think its original. The center rosette is new. The top is spruce, and the bowl is walnut and probably terebinth, which is a tree used
to make turpentine, among other things. The tone is outstanding. Since acquiring it from Nazih, Richard Hankey removed the french polish on the
soundboard sanded down a minor scratch on the soundboard, and touched up the finish on the bowl in two places.
I bought the oud from Keith for $3,500, and I'm selling it for 2,800$. Hard shell case is
