New oud store opening!
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that there is a new place opening up in Maryland that will be offering ouds! (Among other instruments
too!)
The address is the following:
844 Rockville Pike
Rockville, Maryland
It is going to be called Sam's Cafe and Restaurant. They are currently under construction but should be up by December.
It will be a future site for a restaurant, cafe, supermarket, and shisha lounge! They will be a center for Middle Eastern music and arts as well,
Persian and Arabic instruments will be available at the store.
Planned instruments will be tar, setar, santur, tombak, tabla, oud, and daf. Others will be added in the future. The Persian instruments will be from
Iran while the ouds will be primarily from Egypt, Turkey, and Syria.
Electric and acoustic models will both be available!

Hi everyone,
I finally had an oud brought to me from the middle east after a very long time; however, now I'm having difficulty finding an instructor in the DC
area. Would you know of anyone willing to teach me?
I live 5 minutes from here as well - in Potomac MD if anyone you know is near. I work in Arlington VA and I'm always in the Tysons area and in DC so
I'm pretty flexible.
