ney method Suleyman Erguner
Dear all
I am learning also ney, out of oud, working on a ney method made by Suleyman Erguner.
Unfortunately, I broke the CD number 1 of the method, by keeping it in the book.
I would like to ask for help to get soundfiles from this CD, maybe someone can provide them via a system like rapidshare.
I know this is really problematic, as this book is available for sale, but it is difficult to get it from France. Maybe can we share a password for
the file, or at least can I get the pieces of the CD, out of the exercices, which are more easy to read.
Thank you.

Hi Boral,
yes it is the book on the link provide by Hama. It is all in turkish, but even if you don't understand turkish you can learn a lot from it. For
exemple, for each makam it begins by presenting seyirs and then a piece to illustrate the makam.
I didn't heard of a translation in english.
For taksim, there is youtube video with notes for turkish ney. Make a search for exemple at " saba taksim ", you will see what I am talking about.
If you don't know playing notes on the ney, maybe a method like the one of Ahmet Kaya is nice to work on for you. He teach more each notes
progressively.
By the way, if you find a turkish website to order the book, it is much less expensive there than 150 dollars.
Regards.

Hi Guys,
If you are interested in the Arabic style nay, there is a book by the late mahmoud Effat in English.
To buy it, please go to:
http://www.maqam.com/store/p/3313-Beginner-s-Guide-to-the-Nay.html
I bought a copy a few years ago. I think it is a great resource.
Best regards,
Hatem
