Said Chraibi is one of my favourite oud players. I'd like to know more about that instrument he is playing in these clips, it looks like a member of
the oud family, but is apparently tuned higher, seems to have movable frets and 10 strings. Anyone out there know more about this instrument? cheers,
MW

Yeah Mattew I also got the impression that it's an instrument from the oud family, not a standard oud. Could moroccan members give some help
please?
I know that, in the Maghreb, a couple of instruments belonging to the oud family exist, 'oud 'arbi and kwitra, but they're fretless.
Regards.

Anyways, really beautiful music duets, especially the first link. Purely musical, far from show off, raw3a.
