back from Istanbul!
Hello everybody!
I came back few days ago from beautiful Istanbul.
There would be lots of things to tell but I will not annoy you.
Basically I found the ouds in Galip Dede caddesi not very good, but I really suggest everybody to visit TOPRAK shop in Galip Dede Caddesi\ they are
close friends with Mustafà Copcoglu and Faruk Turunz and they are extremely nice and kind! They got me some Mustafà Copcoglu ouds to try and they
were doing the same with a turunz oud but unfortunately it was sold during the days I was there. I found Copcoglu ouds very beautiful but like many
turkish ouds they were quite poor in low frequencies (at least for my taste!).
Then, I really suggest you to visit Alì Nisadir workshop in Ataturk bulvari. He's a really nice man and according to me he makes very beatiful ouds
much cheaper than the other famous makers. He had very good ouds for 500 or 600 euro.
The only thing I don't like of his ouds is that for my taste they produce too much "buzz" especially in the first positions of 3th and 4th string.
That's why I decided to buy a floating bridge one\ It's a Munir Bashir oud (Nisadir worked for many years in Kuwait and he makes very nice arabic
ouds). He put the bridge a little bit higher to avoid the "buzz" but maybe it was too much and I think I will try to put it a little bit lower.
The main feauture of Nisadir ouds is that in comparison with the other turkish ouds I tried, they have much warmer and deeper bass frequencies.
Then, Nisadir is maybe the only maker that has ouds ready to try\ I tried to put a photo of my new oud\ I hope it will work(:
Anyway, I really suggest to visit him and Toprak shop guys that really can help you getting you some turunz or Copcoglu ouds if there any ready to
sell.
Thank everybody for the attention and enjoy your ouds!

Hi,
Enjoy your oud.
I would like to hear the sound of your oud which has floating bridge.
Would you share voice records of your oud with us?

Hi danieletarab,
Very cool looking oud -- I like the cool looking inlay on the final stave. The grain on the back is really lovely too. Lovely finish work. Enjoy it
!
