We are organizing a music focused trip to Uzbekistan in late September to early October. The trip is a chance to visit the Silk Road and to gain some
music instruction and experiences along the way.
We are going to Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara for a total of about eight days. I am working with contacts in the classical music community there to
arrange some lessons in Uzbek traditional music. And we plan time to shop for instruments.
The cost depends on the number of people who go. We hope to have a group of about four people total. There are already two of us from Japan.
We still have a couple slots open for this trip. It is a great chance to explore the music of the Silk Road while visiting some of the most ancient
cities in Uzbekistan.
We are now up to three interested people. I'd like to have one more to join us.
