Hello,
Can anyone recommend a good software ( free preferably) that I could program to give me different beats.. and has riq types of sounds? So I could play
along.

Hi,
You can try Jamspace (freeware on line). It works well :

Each measure is divided in 16 squares. Click on an instrument (ex. : Acoustic bass drum), and double-click on a square to insert a sound.
You can easily compose a rythm and download it in midi file (*.mid).

Actually what is good in this metronome is that you can easily make a fuks rythm (used for many longas like the one of Riad as Sunbati)
