Hello there all,
I have here a small taksim for an Ottoman Turkish instrument called "Sehrud=Shehrud" and Santur which i'd like to share with you.
This instrument "Sahrud" was the version of oud played in the 16th & 17th centuries in Turkey. But was abandoned for unknown reasons toward the
end of the 17th century.
This taksim is an excerpt from a whole collection of music pieces wrote in the 16th century by "Ali Ufki".
The taksim is on both Sehrud and Santur.
