M. Abozekry 15 years Professional Oud Player & Oud Tutor !! Don't miss !

Have you ever heard or seen such a thing ?
He's only 15 & already a professional Oud Player & Oud Tutor at the "Arabic Oud House" in Cairo .

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiggdQPOqnQ&feature=related

Pls. note the other related videos.

Is he that good as I figure, or am I biased by his young age ?

Who said there's no hope in the Arab World ?

Enjoy !!

Stunning taqsim. Interestingly I prefer the first video where he was younger.

To be honest, I don't see how he can get any better. :)

Just another Shamma clone. Shamma must be devastating for the Egyptian oud school; I mean the old authentic Egyptian oud school.

Best wishes

"clone, devastating, old authentic?" Exactly what are you talking about Mr. Anderson? Naseer Shamma is a welcome addition to the many schools of oud methods in Egypt and has enriched our over all oud study.

Am I the only one who thought that sounded extremely spastic? It's like when you're playing and have no idea where to go so you just flail around and hope you hit something good.

Greg,

Please don't compare him to JT....JT is phenomenal.
I have to say this kid is amazing, he has very good skill but as you said the music doesnt move me.
I think there is a vast difference between the two...
again this kid is amazing, and for a young age he is outstanding but i personally don't prefer the style.

ameer,
I don't think it is that bad...but i agree with you to some extent.

cheers
