I think the coils, springs, go from the tail block to the neck block and vibrate like a spring reverb unit... my cellist friend did the same thing to
his cello, but had the springs attached from the bridge to a membrane in a piece of downpipe attached to the body of the cello, ugly looks but
beautiful sound, like having sympathetic strings, or like playing in a big hall. I think there is something about it on the musical instrument makers
forum, you could try googling it.

Is it lose like wabbling? or normal?

Hi Phillip
if you like some reverb in your oudsound you should try this:
http://www.recitalbox.de/english/
A friend use it on a guitar and it sounds great.Sometimes a bit irritatingly, specially when you play outside.
Cheers,
Marcus

Hi again Phillip
unfortunately it could not be adjusted, only turned on or off, but its possible to stop it easily while playing by push the "face".

The springs look like screen door springs, but I would look for very light gauge to reduce the weight and tension. The tension should be just enough
to produce a tone when they vibrate. here's a picture through the rose:

my question is this..The coil plays the roll of a sympathetic string that co-ordinates with some frequencies.BUT does it add a more "metalic" colour
to the sound?does it degrades the original timbre?

Yes but we need to know how much tension and sizes of that springs in order to accumulate an aproximate calculations.
I Think It Just add a Little bit of change. "Metallic" sound maybe added ut not much. Because this is the result of Higher frequencies and
overtones.
Anybody Here has Seen this Spring coils That can give some more details about it?
Help Needed?
Thanks
Philip
