advice for beginners

Hello everyone,

I recently bought an Oud in Jerusalem and am learning how to play. Does anyone know of any good material online that could assist or exercises that could get me started?

best,
Eitan

Hi Eitanyn

To understand and practice in good way, you must have a teacher at least for the beginning.

Many online courses exist like :
http://www.i3zif.com/en/oud-english-beginners1
or
http://www.oudforguitarists.com
or
http://www.ramyadly.com/school-of-oud/

If you can't meet a teacher, you ll find many exercices and songs here
http://oudanantes.canalblog.com/archives/exercices/index.html

Good luck !
