Rosewood was recently added to the CITES list of woods that require special permits to ship internationally. I don't know if CITES applies to
intra-EU shipments.
Indian rosewood isn't threatened, and I don't think India is happy about the designation's impact on their ability to sell rosewood. It's made things
much more difficult.
