Syrian Zeryab Oud Strings
Hello everyone,
Need some help in knowing what are the strings that Ali Khalife uses on his ouds ... I have a shami oud from zeryab and looking to replace the
strings, I tried using C-C pyramid strings arabic tuning and they entirely changed the sound of the oud, it is not that deep old sound anymore, which
is something I did not like.
Does anyone know what are the strings he uses on his ouds, and is there a specific gauge size? looking for 3 nylon and 3 copper strings, I couldn't
find anything in the market...

Update ..
He confirmed that he uses Kurschner strings, but I wasn't able to find 3 nylon and 3 copper online, does anyone know where they can be found?

It's a bit confusing to me because apparently there are two Kurschner strings brands?, one from germany and one from turkey.
Some others maybe can shed some light further.
At any rate, the german ones seem to come in many types depending on preferences, such as - nylon, fluorcarbon, silver plated copper wounded nylon
