Hello!

With our group Matjar Adib, we just recorded our version of the famous mawwal Al-Loulou Al-Mandoud, sung by the king of tarab, Sabah Fakhry : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOadxY6KGaA

"The pearls strung in your beautiful mouth bring happiness to the miserable and the sick."

with
Georges Camil Abdallah, voice
Baptiste Frelat, oud
Amin Al Aiedy, nay
Iyad Haimour, qanun
Ismaïl Mesbahi, percussions

I hope you'will like it!

How are you getting such a good big bass sound from your lowest oud string? Good microphone skills I guess. it sounds very good to me. (So does the playing).

Brian, Jody,

Thanks for your words!

Yes, I think that the bass sound is a combination of :
- generosity of this oud in the bass (made by the talented Joseph Roman)
- good microphone and captation during the concert
- post mix

Have a nice day!
