Translation
The name on the label is:
Mohammed Nagy el-Masry
el-Masry literally means "the Egyptian". It could be a real last name or an origin designator.
The oud was made in Lebanon in May 1990

did you think this was a Nahat?
It is on Ebay is it not
it looks very nice but one thing i dont get is that it is lebanon built but his last name (or nikname) is "the Egyptian".???

The Egyptian
Gabriel,
It makes total sense. It is very possible that he was an immigrant from Egypt to Lebanon. In this case his Lebanese neighbors would refer to him
naturally as "The Egyptian" and it might have stuck as a nickname, or eventually a family name.
This is very common in many older countries where there is no "melting-pot" concept.
