Solfege

Is there a specific Arabic system like solfege for singing notes of maqamat? If generally solfege is used are there additional syllables for quarter tones? Example, for chromatic ascending: Do Di Re Ri Mi Fa Fi Sol Si La Li Ti Do - what would be syllables for 24 tones? One more thing - can anyone give the arabic name for each tone?

There was a chapter from Scott Marcus' PhD dissertation that was about this that was posted before on the forum. Here it is again for you.
