Accepting sembathies hear :

thoday at 8:33 pm my Mourice sehatah OUD. Died in an accident I owned the OUD for 5 months. The OUD fell dawn the stand.
My roommate dropped it out of the stand when he was trying to reach the ALSEEJADH to pray. Me and the OUD had a nice life together.
It first started when I saw it picture in my friends mobile. Then I asked him about it, I asked him "who owns this OUD". He replied a guy in Qatar. The next day I bought a ticket and went to Qatar and bought it.
I miss it all ready.
I am gana bury it in the yard
Looooooooooooooooool ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

i appreciate how you must feel but please don't bury it - it's not dead. take it to a luthier for repairs. the money you spend to have it "resurrected" will be well spent. it will also be a way for your clumsy friend to make ammends and not feel so bad.

old ouds are the best - if you repair it when it is broken it will probably do the same for you some day.

Sorry to hear that. Trust me I love all my Ouds so much. They are in Two bedrooms and they are clossed so my Cats cant go in. I undestand and feel with you , What hapenes is that you get so attached to your musical instruments like i do that they become a part of you.
Try to fix it . Samir is Right he did fix his own Oud once and yours should be fixable. Good luck and god bless you. samir,California.

Yes please listen to this kind advice and try and fix it or give it as a present to someone willing to fix it, no oud loving human would bury even a resha..

all the best and sorry about the loss

best regards

Well, those things happen to a lot of oud players. Oud is very sensitive instrument...I have heard devastating stories about broken ouds and people just fixed it. Just relax and get it fixed. ;)
