help on Oud string amounts?
My recently purchased an Oud on holiday, it came strung with 4 doubles and one single. It has space at the bottom for two more strings, and it has the
pegs as well for an extra two strings. But the problem is the nut at the top only has room for 5 doubles. I find this confusing for how i should
string my Oud.
Anyhelp much apprectiated.

Well 2 options make a new nut to be able to add a string to it. 5 double course and one single. Or use 5 doubles wich is the fastest and cheapest
thing to do for now. There isnt soo much use for the additional 6th string exept for suporting the lower notes. Many people dont play with the 6th
string in the first place so you can do fine without it untill you feel you need it.

I think for now ill learn how to play on the 4 doubles and the one drone before i add the next two string to it.
