Plastic (?) moulds/forms


I'm not wild about that term oud "mould", but I guess it is correct.
On this site, we have seen pictures of both Turunz' shop and Kyvelos' shop in which it appears that their oud moulds were made out of some sort of synthetic material. Any idea what this is? And how it is made?

Hi Jonathan,

I make the moulds out of wood and MDF. In order to prevent the mould from sticking to the ribs I paint them with synthetic paint. The look is a bit misleading for that reason. I have never used any plastic substances for making the moulds. Please look at the photos. You will easily realize the wooden parts of the mould seeming underneath it.
