Concerning the new Aquila strings

Iam seeking advice on what kind of oud would do best to put the new low tension strings I got from Jameel. (thanks btw)

I have just put D'addario on my shehata they seem too ''loose'' and they buzz compared to the higher tension regular Aquila. I used to have the regular Aquila strings on there before. Iam wondering If the new low tensions will have the same result and also be too loose. Anyone tried the new low tension on a Shehata yet? Feedback please.

Samir,

First off, the new Aquila Light tension sit is a bit of a misnomer. I think most here (and most experienced players) would consider this set to be about medium tension, especially considering that the standard Aquila set is definitely on the high end of tension. Low tension would be, imo, 3.5kg and lower.

The Dadarrio set you are using is designed for Turkish tuning, so on ouds that are tuned arabic, they will be looser, thus the buzzing.
