Oud Strings at the End of the World
Hi Everyone,
I am teaching myself oud in New Zealand and need a source of strings. What are my best options? I have credit cards, but lots of US sites won't sell
to NZ or UK registered cards.
Perhaps some of the Australians in the forum will have advice for me.
Many thanks
Chris

Ummm!
AFAIK, Thomastik is an Austrian company, not an Australian company.
Chris,
You may find a kiwi music store that has access to oud strings. Most Australian music stores can get La Bella strings.
However, if you deal with Jameel, he will advise you on the best strings for your instrument and he stocks some of the best brands.
I am in Australia, but find it easy to get strings from the States or from Germany, using the trusty credit card.
Regards,
Greg
