NEW Khalaf Oud Soft cases---taking pre orders NOW
Dear Friends!
I'm really excited to be offering these nice cases, so I wanted to make this announcement.
These cases are based on the prototype pictured on my website: http://www.khalafoud.com/cases.htm
These cases are made from tough cordura with handles and 1'' thick foam all around. The neck and pegbox end are constructed in a semi-rigid box-type
form that offers a buffer for this fragile area. The front panel is also reinforced with a rigid insert to help deflect blows to the soundboard, and
to prevent punctures. The case will also include BACKPACK STRAPS, a HUGE feature that makes this case a joy to carry. Strap it on and the soundboard
is against your back, totally protected. The pegbox will be up and behind your head, in a similar protective location.
The case is great for all types of travel. It will insulate against cold due to the thick padding-- I've travelled by air using the prototype, placing
the oud in both an overhead bin, and/or having the attendant place it in their coat closet up front. Checking the case should not be done (it's not a
good idea to do this even with a hard case).
I've been working on this for over a year, and dealing with several manufacturers I've been able to get the price down to a reasonable amount for a
custom item such as this.
For this initial batch, I'll be taking pre-orders at $149, with free shipping (in the cont. US) for the first 15 orders. Gray or black will be the
basic color. Please specify if you would like a color other than black or gray (red, blue, etc.). I've designed these around a typical size Arabic
oud. They will fit all but perhaps unusually large ouds.

These are nice cases indeed.
I'd like of course to bring the price point down. If enough people place orders, I'll be able to do that. And I'm not talking hundreds or even dozens,
just a few really.
Tell your oud friends about it, and let's make this happen!

I'm getting close to my minimum order requirement.
If you ever think you'll want one of these, NOW is the time to order!
If I don't meet my minimum, they will still be available, but the price will shoot up to $275. I don't think too many will be interested at that
price. So again, NOW is the time to order!!
First time you have to travel with your oud, you will be happy you have one of these.
