Peg auto-rotates
I have a pretty cheap oud, apparently to get this problem so soon.
One of my pegs will not hold tuning at all. As soon as you let go of it you can, quite literally, watch it turn back out of tune.
Is there anything I can do? Or must I simply buy a new peg?

Best to get properly fitted pegs but if you cannot a quick fix for tight or loose pegs suggested by one violin maker is to use 'Plasticine' (a non
hardening modelling clay). Warm the clay until soft and put a little bit in each peghole, replace and rotate the pegs to spread the clay evenly. The
'Plasticine' is supposed to lubricate and hold the pegs as well as provide a firm smooth action.
I have never tried this so cannot say if it works or not. Has anyone experience of this fix?
