Save and Replay Youtube Clips

You can find all about the "How to" plus a free Flv player at:

http://keepvid.com/

1- Copy the Youtube url from the URL field on the left of the clip in Youtube (It seems that you have to wait until the clip is fully streamed and stored in cache. (Red timeline complete)

2_ Paste in Keepvid.com and press download(the green field)
Then a grey :"›› Download Link ‹‹ (.flv - Flash Video)" will appear under, click it to save to disk. I found that i have to add manually the extension " .flv " while saving to disk.

3_ Download and install the free .flv player and make it the default player for flv files
http://www.pimpfish.com/download/flv-player/

4- Now you can keep and replay the clips you like.

Here is one more tip on how to save the videos from You Tube onto your hard drive;
First you need to download them onto your hard drive and the universal share downloader an excellent choice for this and you can download this program
here http://www.dimonius.ru/ Just unzip the file and choose language and it is ready to use. After you just copy and past the video URL from you tube and you will have the link queued in US Downloader. When download finish you
add the .flv extension to the file and you can change filename to a significant one.
Ok now you need to convert the flv file to a file format such as mpeg or avi.
Cinema Forge is a good choice and it is a shareware.

Best wishes

Ronny
