Professional Iraqi Oud (Floating Bridge)
Hello all;
This oud was made by "Haidar Najm Abbood" the son of the legendary luthier - the late "Najm Abbood"- in 2006.
The soundbox, as well as fingerboard and pegs, are made of "Wavy" Rosewood (SISAM). It's the magic touch of the "Wavy" Rosewood what gives this unique
look of the oud back (soundbox; in the pictures below) !.
Oud dimensions:
Soundbox length=49 cm
Soundbox width=39 cm
Soundbox depth=19 cm
Fingerboard length=19.5 cm
With a professional, powerful and yet passionate sound quality (at both ends low/high tones), and ease of play this oud is truely a masterpiece.

Getting this oud out of Baghdad (Iraq) in shadows of the hectic war and situation there was no easy task what so ever !!. In fact, it was almost
smuggled out !. It is becoming a mission near impossible to currently get hold of such an oud.....a unique piece of art from that region.
Here is an oud that looks and sounds perfect !
