Bonjour Lewo.

( Normally, Titi plays the greek bouzouki with the standart tuning......but I don't remember it.....So if no one gives here a valid answer, I search on Titi's youtube videos with a tune I use to play.....)

Thank you very much francis (and thank you also for translation)

The standard Greek's tuning is : CFAD, but Titi speaks of GCGC in an interview ... If you find your tracks, made me sign !!!

Some videos here :

---

( Not sure the drones are G and F, sure the high strings are g c. Titi often plays tunes in the F key and turns around the fifth case on the high strings. To my ears, may be there is a low F. I'll listen again his old solo album " Le Regard Nu", that's easier to hear open strings....).

It is too low bothers me. For acute GC I am sure (with Fa 5th) ...

Francis, are you French?

----

The bouzouk is tuned GG CC gg cc. I verified in the solo cd and I tried on my cittern.
I don't think he changes this tuning from a piece to another.

( Yes, I'm french....I listen and I like Titi Robin's music for a long time, since the eighties when he plays with E.Marchand and Chemirani ( voice and percussion ). I met him a few times. He helped me to find a first cheap oud, to try , by giving me the address from one of his friends, a syrian seller in Angers (France ) which sold me the oud for a very little price.....Later, we met again and he played this oud and gave me some helps to begin to play....
I like his great music as I like his personal mood , twice closed of course!)

---

I can't translate this because my english is very bad... Sorry for all !

The neck of an "irish bouzouki" is shorter than on a greek one, and the body of the instrument isn't the same. It's impossible to get the same sound, especially with low strings. Try Gg CC gg cc, it could sound better.

No problem for my email:
