Shehata ouds
Is it just me, or do Shehata ouds have their own distinct sound? It's BEAUTIFUL! Nahats also seem to have their own sound as well... But maybe
this could just be the mp3 format though?!

You're right Nadir, Shehata's ouds have a distinct tone, even though they all differ in their own way. A combination of very traditional
bass with some bite in the trebles i think. Each one is a little different...I really like them.
Take care,

I'm a little bit torn between getting a Shehata or not though, after all, I still need to get my other ouds and barbats from Turunz and Hankey.
But then again, it is a unique and wonderful sounding oud...
Ah, decisions, decisions!
Could some people please post some reasons on why they like their Shehatas??

Nylgut on Shehata Oud
Hi folks,
I just got a set of Nylgut strings for my Shehata. I don't have them on yet but I'll try to post a sound file once they've settled
