Seeking advice/help fixing bridge to the soundboard

Hello everyone,

I have just joined the forum as I was searching for answers. I am a beginner with Oud playing. I live in The Netherlands, I just bought an Oud from Egypt a month ago and was shocked when I opened the case few days ago and found that the bridge has detached from the soundboard....wasn't a pleasant moment I can tell you.

You can imagin now, being a beginner I really need help on how to fix this. I don't know anybody to turn to here in Holland and I have no experience with glue types and how it must be done.

PLEASE ADVISE...........I will be very grateful.

regards............Ayser

Up in the left hand corner of the forum there is a search tab, almost anything you can think of about ouds is here somewhere, and you would be surprised what you can find if you look...

Try this thread,

We also have a maker here from netherlands, username Sabbassi, you could try contacting him if you don't want to try to fix it yourself.

Good luck with it.
