Flight Case for Oud - $300

Hi,

I have a very sturdy and well-made flight case for oud for sale: $300

It is made like a typical flight case, with black wood/metal exterior, and all foam interior plus a large storage compartment for your accessories inside.

I have used it in trips to Greece, Egypt, and within the US without ever having an issue with the oud stored inside. The oud is nestled in foam on all sides which have been cut to fit Arabic and Turkish style ouds. You can also always replace the foam and cut it to hold whatever you would like.

If you plan to travel by air with your oud and will need to check it in with luggage, you should have a case like this to be sure it will arrive safely.

Case dimensions: 36" x 20" x 14 5/8"

Let me know if you are interested, I am located in Jersey City, NJ.

Thank you,

mavrothi

Hi,

so have you checked your oud in this case? Did it arrive OK? Remember the video on YouTube, "United breaks guitars"?

Hi,

Yes, it's almost impossible for the oud to be damaged in this type of case. I think you would have to puncture the hard exterior somehow to damage the instrument.

The United breaks guitars situation involved a regular guitar case if I'm not mistaken.

This case is a rectangular flight case, not for everyday use, but for checking in with luggage when you travel.

See the attached picture - the only difference being that my case is fully filled with foam except for the cut our area to fit the oud, and the exterior is black and silver.

Let me know if you are interested.

Take care,

mavrothi
