Blues Barbat

i saw a lot of topics bout the Barbat. y dont u just see my instrument? ive recorded a short improvisation. its in Gm blues, my favorite.

its a modern instrument made by Ibrahim Sukar. the plans were delivered from Iran by mr. Nazempour drawn n designed by mr. Ghanbari Mehr.

the difference between my instrument n what mr. Ghanbari makes is that mine is 13 string, adjustable neck.

i need comments bout to things: 1- my instrument 2-Blues on oud or Barbat

Hi Amir!

Being not a barbat expert I would say it's beautiful ... and regarding the quality ... hard to tell from a short video. But when you say it's a Sukar, I would expect good quality.

I like it, when people try something different, be it Blues, Jazz or as in my case Rock.

Hi Amir,

If I were you I would use more glissando to express blues (especially on the blue note). Also you play closed to the bridge and blues needs something softer, closed to the rosace... BTW these are technicals subjectives critics, tell me if it works for your own purpose ?
