I'm about to start my oud lessons, i currently live in egypt. i was told to start in cairo opera house, but i heard about a oplace called Bayet el Oud or the the House of Oud.
I herad that they have amazing teachers with Nasser Shamma on top of them all..
Well my question is do they take newly staudents with no previous experiance with oud or any other musical instruments...please i need help with this as me and two friends of mine are very keen to start learning oud .

u can get the answer with a short telephone call. i guess they do, but i think Naseer shamma aint the one who teaches you how to hold the risha! they probably have efficient teachers for starters. of course these are what i guess from other academies. thats good for u. its my dream to go to baytel oud some day. u have the chance, enjoy it. good luck.
