Going to start lessons and need oud in London
Hello guys,
Thank you for making this forum so great and full of useful oud info.
I'm having lessons with the renowned player Ahmed Al-Mukhtar
but my oud atm is just a touristy oud.. i need to buy a new oud and most preferably floating bridge but not necessarily and if its iraqi oud that oud
be the best. The problem is that I dont have more then $700 with other numbers £400 is it even possible to get a floating bridge oud for that
price?
I live in NW London but I don't mind traveling anywhere in London.
Pleaaaase guys i really need this urgent and I wanna play it before buying or at least hear a sound sample

How are your lessons with Ahmed mukhtar? Is he mainly Iraqi style? What is his attitude to more Egyptian style rythm/melody?

I'm starting in begin may, and i think he specializes in iraq style oud, specially Maqamat but i dont think that he is the best choice if you wanna go
towards the egyptian style rythm/melody.
Please guys i really need an oud i found 1 which was 1000 pounds
