There are several oud makers online, both Arabic and Turkish and just do some surfing and you will find them.

Best wishes

First, Mr. Ghadban's ouds are constructed very well. He's work is extremely detailed in quality and craftsmanship. He makes both floating bridge and classical ouds. My oud, is a classical oud with 60 cm string length, with a Nahat shaped bowl. It is very arabic sounding. It has a very clear sound, not too bassy and not too trebbly. The best comparison I can make to its sound is Anouar Brahem

It has a fiberglass fingerboard that makes it very easy to play on because its extremely smooth, and its also more durable than wood. The action is low, and very easy to play on. Check it out: http://www.mikeouds.com/scores/displayimage.php?album=14&pos=9

I often so amazed at how well my oud stays in tune. Days sometimes go by without having to tuning it! The pegs work very well. Mr. Ghadban tells me the neck is very strong, and from what I can tell, it sure is. I've tuned to Turkish tuning (I know its very dangerous on an arabic oud!) and it didn't even flinch.

I would definitley buy another oud from Mr. Ghadban. He is very honest and doing business with him was a pleasure. He is very proud of his work and his reputation.

I hope to post a clip once I get around to figuring out why my mic on my comp doesn't work.

Hi Zul,

My oud is almost identical to the oud owned by Elias. There is a picture of his at

There are Ghadban related comments from Sam, Elias and me on the thread at http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=904

I have sent you my email address and phone numbers by U2U.

Regards,

Greg
