Master Class with NECATI CELIK in London
Hello
I am registered for the master class in london with Necati Celik for october (20 to 22 october). But for the moment, i haven't received confirmation
! May be we are not enough for this stage !?
My question is who are insterested in this stage ??!

I'd love to do this but I am snowed under with work (and to be frank I can't quite believe I'm saying this but this is how it is right now) - I also
need a bit more 'theory' to go into this I feel ... but the main thing is time for me - it's Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 6 and 9 pm in
London ... its times like this that I wished I lived in London.
I think this workshop is ongoing so will want to do it at some point - I think Necati is an astounding player.

If you can find a "wormhole" in your schedule through which you can move to the alternate universe of this master class, may I suggest you not let
"(needing) a bit more theory" stop you. As a complete novice I studied with Mr. Celik from 1996-2002 at M.E. Camp in Mendocino. Theory aside, you can
get from him an astounding number of things e.g. exercises and patterns for your right hand, and many for the left to go with them. You'll have fun
too—he's a hoot. Ask him about Hoca Nasreddin and the pot.

Thanks for the insight - I'll phone them this week. I'm not a novice so have a fair bit to go on ... but what I'd love to do is to be able to get
some practical knowledge of technique, particularly the amazing range of left hand techniques.
I'd love to be taken through maqam from someone who really knows but in a way that I can listen an play and be guided - notes on a page I struggle
with (not impossible but very slow) but I have a very good ear, and I am most interested and comfortable in improvisation.
I wouldn't be able to start this month but they are ongoing from what I can gather.
I'll check it out again.

The lessons have been cancelled for october
They didn't say why ...
Next session planned 17-18-19 November... not possible for me ...

They send me a mail ...
"All lessons for the Oud Instrument" ... have been cancelled.
So no stage with necati celik
