Hi Mehran! How come you recognized those tins of "Barbunya
Pilakisi". You must be familiar with those tins.
We filled them with cement. The oud has to be pushed towards the leveling plane with a constant pressure

No, the leveling machine works in a constant speed.
oudistcamp, the electric motor is a reduced speed model and speed of rotation is around 1 and a half tour per second.

Salam dear Fadel! Thank you for your comment.
You know I also have a Facebook account but being a member of these Oud forums I show respect to its aim and abstain from occupying its ground with
irrelevant topics. Besides, having an unconditioned attachment to the Oud instrument and to those oud lovers I only talk about oud related issues
here.
Best regards to all

Nice machine Faruk Usta.
Obviously its completely custom made. It has to be long engouh and extremely flat. I really admire your work, the time to properly manufacture
precision machinery like this to perform a single specific task is impressive.
Bravo.

Thank you Samir for your glowing evaluation. Yes, it is completely custom made and extremely flat. The tray under the sand paper was made of granit
and is extremely flat. We can level on it the extended fingerboards of the ouds of which the string length is 61,5cm.
My work partner Suat Çetincan designed and made this machine last year.
Best regards

Hi fadel!
Unfortunatelly (ff cc gg dd aa F) tuning requires a third bracing design and thickness of the soundboard besides the two existing patterns (Turkish
and Arabian)
If some demands/orders accumulate for that type of tuning ouds, we may think about it.

"This price point covers Turkish and Arabic tuning ouds"
That point is interesting. If you change the tuning, do you only change it by using other strings or do you make any modifications to the oud? As I
heard, an arabic oud for example couldn't handle the tension of turkish tuning.

The soundboards of Turkish and Arabian ouds are designed differently. The bracing pattern and frequencies of the braces are differently arranged for
these two different kind of ouds.

Kind regards
