Riad al-Sunbati
i just downloaded the MP3 file that mike uploaded, (thank u mike and Hussain).
i just want to give Riad al-Sunbati the recognition that he deserve. IMO, among the all the great oud players (exept my fav two) Riad al-Sunbati the
only one who deserver to be called "The Oud Master"", he dominated the oud like no body did.
he is not playing with the oud, he making the oud singing 
there is a song that he composed for soa'd mohammed, he was playing oud in the background, and u can imagine how outstanf=ding his oud playing in
that song.
lets make this thrad the official Riad al-Sunbati thread, post everthing about this GREAT oud player here.

Sunbati composed the song Ya Nasini for Shahrazad, and he played the oud in the song. You can listen to the song (and the oud in the intro part,
played by Sunbati) at:

At the time Sunbati composed this song for Shahrazad, he and Om Kulthoum were not on good terms and he wasn't composing to her at the time, nor
was she singing his songs. After OK heard Shahrazad's song and Sunbati's oud playing, she contacted him and they resumed their
collaboration.
