Since it was my first post in the forum, they had to take a look at it. Therefore it is late. I checked that you've orderd a syrian oud. That's what I
wanted to advise you. I have spent money and time and concluded the "den finger weg von Irakischen Instrumenten". The time when Iraqi ouds were the
best is gone when Muhammad Fadhil passed away. You still can see some beautiful instruments but no sound and geometry quality. Syrians, Lebanese and
one luthier from Morocco have started putting standards for oud production. Their instruments look alike and sound almost the same (which I like). You
wont witness deformation after a while and you will be happy with the quality.
The one you chose, Sabsabi I guess, is not the one I would recommend. However he is not bad since your style is a bit modern. I'm into classical ouds
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZUA6WNRV1k), but I have just ordered a floating bridge oud for the collection.
Hope you will enjoy your oud and waiting for your results.

I have reached the same conclusion or in a way led by my intuition there! I want a floating bridge standards, and the Iraqi part is in the music that
is composed, or played and of course the musician, where I have no issues with whatsoever.
I like your playing, all the best of luck

His work is so fine and the finishing is great. He claims (and has some plans and working papers) that he has the Munir Bashir design and late Bashir
himself discussed it with him.
Glad that you liked my playing. Waiting to hear yours.
Salute

Ok guys,
I got the Oud safe and sound! It sounds, and smells like heaven!
Thanks to Huosain Sabsaby, he was great all the way through the process of building and delivering this masterpiece.
I will post a preview and maybe sound sample soon.
Cheers,
