Some great videos.....from the kings....
I used to play the old Saltarello/ La Rotta on an open tuned guitar ( learn many years ago from the playing of John Renbourn )! I didn't think to try
it on the oud, thanks for the idea ( and your great playing) Lee! A "new" tune to explore......

Thanks for posting these videos, great talent.
Jameel, your ouds sound really nice, I am especially surprised at how loud your sandwich top oud is, it seems the sound has opened up a great deal
since we last heard it on the forum, you are trully a great luthier.
It was a real treat to hear Dr. Beken and John B,
thanks again

You might have to download the latest Flash plug-in. It should play fine, though if you have a tiny notebook screen it might not "fit". You could try
turning off all the tool bars, navigation, etc.. to make room in the window – some people complain that they can't see the row of thumbnails at the
bottom. The arrow keys work for navigation.
Good luck

Did you change the pegs on that Azar oud? How are you liking it these days? Seeing that pic reminded me of how much I liked it when you first got
it.
I came very close to getting an Azar and still may get one at some point.

Azar oud

Yes... I had some "pegheads, mechanical internal planetary screw, pegs installed. These are a bit expensive but they turn like silk - very smooth and
they are not "heavy" like regular mechanical tuners.
I'm very happy with the Azar oud – I also had it refinished with a french polish shellac and put a pickup inside under the bridge. Its a very cool
"modern" instrument. Samir makes very good ouds and I reccomend them for anyone considering a "floating bridge". type oud.
