also, the fingerboard is smaller in the Maple oud. At the joint to the bowl it's 5.8 cm at the nut 3.8 cm. The other is 6.1cm at the joint and 4cm at
the nut. For a 7 string oud the new model is much easier to play. But for my big hands I have no problem with both

3.8 cm width at the for a 7-course? Isn't it very narrow?
The fingerboard of the 7-course Ghadban I ordered will be 4.2 cm wide at the nut.

Wow, Souheil. Wonderful comparison. I like them all, each has a different personality.
I wish I could hear you could play my Ghadban Nahat style oud. It is a real big one. It has really nice balance from low to high, but of course I
can't play it like you! :-)
