Manol Dated 1915?
Hi Guys.
As you know I always interested with Manol ouds. A few days ago one of friends told me about a Manol dated as 1915. However, I know that Manol died at
1914. So is it possible for a Manol dated in 1915?

Hello,
some days ago I found this about Manol in the web. Unfornunately I cannot read this, but it seems to be clear that he died in 1915 and his last
instrument is No: 168. from 1915
Yazar Sermet Muhtar Alus (1887-1952), 28.

Thank you for your kind interest. I think he died in 1914. Maybe his cousins made (Manol) labelled ouds. Who knows.

Cengiz Sarikus, Matthias--thanks for the valuable info.
Matthias-- the 168 does not refer to instrument number. It is on all of the Manol labels I have seen. It refers, I am pretty sure, to his address.
Check out these pictures:
http://www.mikeouds.com/messageboard/viewthread.php?tid=5788#pid346...
And, without trying to take this thread offr topic, I would be extremely interested if anybody has any ideas as to what that symbol is that shows up
on some of Manol's labels, as described in the link above.
