Dig your workmanship man ! Very cool looking -- thought I'd hate the pegbox, but it looks fine. Look forward to the sound sample.

Regards..Paul

Hi Yaron,

Didn't mean to sound harsh....your workmanship and choice of materials is excellent. Love the purple heart bridge. Personally I'm not a fan of guitar style pegboxes on ouds, of course it probably is like 1000% easier to tune because of it !

Regards..PaulO

Dear paulO - i didn't think you were harsh, it is ok
Thanks for the compliments, this instrument is for a customer who wants to play and record in a studio with some efects, and this pegbox is MUCH easier to control!
Thanks
Yaron.

Hello,
i never played an electric oud, and don't know if I would like the sensation of playing on it.

But what I heard today make me dream of a very polyvalent instrument. Actually I saw that fender developed a guitar with the electronic possibility to change the tuning (Fender VG. There is also Gibson, name "robot", but this one change the tension by acting on the tuning keys).
Do you know about this technology, and do you think it would be possible on an electric oud?

I would dream an instrument with such a versatility, to can play turkish tuning, arabic tuning in Do, in Fa...etc moreover an adjustable action it may become something very interesting. And impossible?

Looking forward to hear the result of the oud you made.
Regards

Hi,
I know the technology you are talking about, it is fantastic but as you know - not everybody likes this kind of high tech instruments.
I think it wouldn't be profitable for them to create one for an oud, but maybe in a few years.
Playing an electric oud is different but a joy, you get a clean signal and can add some interesting effects for recordings.

soon I will put some recordings
Regards
Yaron.
