Hi walked
Anwar Kubeh is the maker of the Damascus native of Syria. A father passes away recently and sons are manufacturing oud now.

awesome
Hey these are nice 3oods. I wouldn't mind owning the two on the left. The ones with the stars and the different Iraqi style openinigs. The
other two look like the khaleefa 3oods,w hich I remember not being very well-made. Perhaps the ones I saw were just replicas.
Is Khaleefa a good 3ood maker? any experiences?

Hi Everybody.
Thank you for various opinions to me. But I have not yet acquired information needed.
To be sure, Kubeh's oud resembles Khalife (Khaleefa) oud. That will be because a hometown is similarly Damascus in Syria.
Najib Shaheen is also making oud of Khalife style. It can be seen by the following links.
http://www.theoudman.com/pagesgallery.html
I also have oud of Khalife It is oud which a son's Muwafaq made.
Oud which I own can be seen in the following links.
http://atlantic.photoisland.com/servlet/com.arcsoft.LoginNew?com=ar...
Login ID is 329naomi and the password is aya.
I need the information for purchasing Kubeh's oud.

This oud has a deep, strong tone typical of Syrian ouds. The face is not the best quality so the price is low for this age and quality instrument. The
pegs are well fitted and don't slip or stick and the oud holds tuning very reliably. The string height is at 4mm (3/16 inch) at the neck joint,
typical for the long sting length of this oud. Some players prefer a lower action for ease or speed of play , but lowering the action will sacrifice
the volume as well. The finish is shellac and could be improved.
I traded for the oud with a client who wanted one of my ouds in San Jose in 1979.
I am selling the oud as is or I can lower the action, replace the face with higher quality tonewood and/or refinish the back and neck at your
discretion. This will be at additional cost, of course, and can vary with the selection of tonewood age and quality, and the finish selected. The
price includes a soft thick acrylic bag. I also can provide a hard shell case for an additional $250.

Thank you Ronny
I can understand the feature of the sound of Kubeh's oud generally by your video. I want to know the comment about Kubeh's oud by your
having performed Kubeh's oud.
The dealer of Kubeh's oud which I am connecting has told me the price higher than the information from Nadir or Dani. I want me for anyone to
introduce the good dealer of Kubeh's oud.

I like this oud and was worth the money
Dani paid for it. Ouds with lot of inlays
have a tendency to fall apart after some years and Dani's isn't an exception.
Some other negative details are the plastic rosettes but despite this, is the sound very good with a good mellow bas and sufficient trebles.

Best wishes
Ronny
