Hi there. I am In Atlanta !!
Hello every one
I am an Oud player, beginner I would say. I came here to Atlanta, GA for study purposes. I just bought an Oud, And I have the materials I need to
learn how to play. If any one plays Oud In Atlanta, I would be happy to meet with him and discuss couple of things. Also Is there any place with
Arabic music In the city ?
Thank you so much

Don't be so sure man! On the contrary, I believe that if there is anyone near you who have read this, he or she would have answered by now!
So don't give up! Do a search (using search bottum up to the left), and see who is close to you...
Many wanderful people on this forum
Good luck
p.s. there is no one around me either

yeah, as Luttgut says, don't give up, and if anyone in this forum lives near Atlanta they probably would have contacted you by now.
As Georgia is not know for it's oudplayers it's no surprise, though there are a couple oudies in nearby Florida, all things being equal. You can keep
in touch with oud players and music via the forum and youtube: there's a wealth of oud realted clips on youtube and one can learn a lot from watching
and listening and playing along if possible. If you have opportunties to travel while in USA there are some very good players here and there you can
look up. Have fun in Georgia, you may end up playing country and western oud.
regards, MW

Welcome to the forum
As Matthew says, use this forum well as it is a wealth of knowledge. There is everyone on here from complete beginners to us in-betweeners to some of
the best players and luthiers in the world (I'm not kidding you) this is where it's at.
I'm sure there are a few players on this forum near you as I recall.
Best of luck, and enjoy your oud(s)
Leon

Hi Sazi,
I remember you. I contacted with you on youtube, and you were telling me how Oudproff has nice Ouds. However, my oud has arrived, but unfortunately
was broken. Right now It's in a store to repair guitars.
