what does it mean???

Hi guys
i was just exploring veyselmuzic.com website. there is a text written by Dr. Cengiz Sarikus in which he explains how to identify a fine oud. in a part of that useful text he says:

THE NUT
The strings should be 1mm from the soundboard; the space between strings should be 1mm within a course and 3-4mm from one course to the next.

what does he mean of 1mm from the sound board?!!! i think he may mean 1mm from the finger board or 1cm from the sound board. what do u think?

he meant 1 mm above the fingerboard, if it's a discussion of the nut, it's just a mistake.

btw where is that text exactly?

thats here: http://www.veyselmuzik.com/eng/ud.php

can u explain this sentence? => Often you will find buckling in the middle or sinking of the soundboard where
it joins the body.

i think he means buckling in the middle or buckling in the sinking of the sound board where it joins the body.

but where is the sinking of the sound board???
