Help Help I want to learn to tune my M.fadel oud
Hi I have a M.Fadel that date back to 1980 and i need help tunning it Im really new at this so please help Im in the Toronto Mississauga area pleas PM

There are a number of electronic tuners that will help once you know what you want to tune to. Just don't get a guitar tuner that only has the 6
notes. Pocket sized chromatic tuners can be purchased for under $20. For the PC the free "Ap Tuner" is pretty good. For the iPhone the $0.99 or $1.99
Pano Tuner is outstanding.
It's quite tricky tuning two strings to the same pitch. You either mute one in the pair or very precisely pick only one. It's not likely you will get
both exactly on pitch, the peg may jerk, or the string may catch, but a couple of cents difference gives a fatter sound anyway.

I use Korg, a chromatic tuner that is not expensive.

You may also buy some peg paste to ensure that the pegs stay in place.

The most popular tuning is:
F, A, C, G, D, high F

Hi Ahmed,
I should think you would need lot's of good luck trying to tune to that!
I believe Hatem means F, A, d, g, c, f, (That's bass to treble if you're not familiar)....
