Dang, that thing is cool. I just wonder what it sounds like without the amplification? It looks like a flat back, so I guess it probably needs
amplification--like most electric ouds. Doesn't sound too much like an oud to me, but I do like the sound he gets out of it a lot. I hope somebody
has some info on it.

Nice!
Nothing on Godin's site yet (http://www.godinguitars.com). Seems to be a prototype.

Interesting. The secret of the SA range of Godin guitars is the RMC pickups. A separate pickup for each string and an inbuilt pre-amp.
I have a Godin Multiac ACS with RMCs and it sure is a sweet sound. I have often toyed with the idea of modifyiing the bridge of a cheapie oud to
include RMC pickups, but the pickups are quite expensive and you must use the RMC pre-amp (which is also expensive).
I would think this prototype would have a chambered body like their Multiac Grand Concert SA.
It will be interesting to see if this one becomes a stock model. There was a lot of coloration to the sound on this clip. It would be good to hear it
recorded dry and straight into the desk.
Regards,
Greg

That guy, Fatih Ahiskali, also plays with Godin Glissentar.

Probably he collaborates with the firm.
Maybe ask him.
He must be known in Turkey.
And yes it seems to be a interresting intrument.

thanks Greg this is informative. I was wondering how this electric oud is giving an authentic Oud sound. Each string has its mic !
