Thanks guys, I think it's going to be a good concert. There are some great musicians here.
Kiki, thanks for asking. I'll let you know next time I'm playing in NY. It's funny, but I have a harder time getting gigs where I live than
elsewhere.
I'm working on some things, though, so hopefully in the near future it'll happen.

Hi Brian,
I've heard/seen this with other musicians. Have you (or your agent) checked out BAM Cafe? Also Barbes? It's teensy, but we heard a visiting trumpeter
there, it was great. (He's Algerian, I think, last year.)
Really, we need more oud music in NYC!

Saw you perform last night. Wonderful oudmanship. The first piece with you and the setar and doumbek was the best of the evening.

My agent?  That's a good one!
BAM Cafe is a good suggestion, I'll look into that.
Barbes is a great spot.
You probably saw Ibrahim Maalouf there? He's a Lebanese/French trumpet player. I like that place, it would be nice to play there. I've tried to get
a gig there many times, but they only seem to hire from a small group of insiders.
It's difficult to find places in NYC, because many clubs are too noisy to hear an oud properly, even with amplification.
I'm sure there are possibilities, but I'm afraid I'm not a very good businessman.

Thanks, Jack! Ali is a great player. It was just supposed to be me and Boris, but after I played with Ali, I decided I had to convince Moshe to let
us do a trio. We had a lot of fun with that one.
