OUD LEARNING IN EGYPT
hello everybody. i came from greece to live 1-2 years in egypt(my father is egyptian), to learn arabic and take courses on oud. (i play oud a lot of
years). "bet al oud" of naseer shamma is the best choise???? does anybody know any other to suggest ????

Dr Atef abd el Hamid. He teaches at the cairo opera house.
He teaches the egyptian style. Much more classic than Naseer's style. this is his number. good luck

I spent 6 months in Naseer Shamma school in Cairo, and depending on your teacher you can learn very different style there.
Of course I learned Shamma pieces, technical stuff...etc But my teacher there also opened me to an old school of playing and ottoman music.
This school is also a good way to meet with many musician.

thank you guys for your help.i will wait for the things to go better in cairo and i will move there(i am 80 km from cairo ). i ll go at the house of oud .
