Someone decided for an unknown reasons to U2U me, but I thought I'd share this with you without exposing his/her identity:

There was a messy messy story about one of the Joubrans mistreating a student oudie, talking him into an expensive oud that had major structural
problems, then taking him to another family member, who was wanting a fortune to fix it. It seemed unethical and apparently not the only such case.
There never was an explanation from the Joubrans. That's what I remember, and that's probably what stuck in peoples' minds.

The person who posted that completely unsubstantiated story has been banned from these forums. This person used several usernames and all have been
banned because of abusive posts on a number of topics, mostly in regard to various oud makers and sellers. In the recent past he re-joined the forums
for just long enough to send off a couple of U2U messages. I suspect the one mentioned above by Alfaraby was from that person. Another was sent to one
of our other long-time and respected members and it was a highly offensive message that included vile language. Danielo also received a particularly
offensive post from this troubled person. Given that we now know a lot more about the state of mind of this person, I suggest that we do not give
credence to any of the claims he makes in regard to the people he targets with his hateful posts and messages.
