Learning Method & online lesson
Greetings to all,
I begin to learn turkish oud however I dont find any learning source in english or in french. I already musician but I need some help.
Also I dont find any teacher in my area so I try to study by myself. I would like to know if there is teacher who can give lesson through skype or
can record video lesson. Also if there is book or dvd etc..
Mutlu Torun seems very good but in turkiss...

For Turkish style playing there is Mavrothis Kontanis.
He is located in US and teach via internet.
He's member on this forum, or you can seek for his name in google.

Hi.
This is not exactly what you are looking for at first, but there is a really good new Turkish book called the 'Makam Guide' by Murat Aydemir. It is in
English and comes with two accompanying CD's.
The book is very good at teaching Makam.
There are compositions and taksim in each makam (there are 60 in the book, starting with Rast).
Also Gulcin Yayha Has a method, but I don't know if it is in English.
